Scripts and story telling...

We are always told never believe or trust a stranger when you really don't know who they are...but what if they helped us in an embarrassing moment? What if they are kind to you? What if that someone is good looking and attractive? What if you are passing through you a rough patch and the stranger offers the shoulder you are in need of? What do you do without knowing why the stranger is offering you the warmth and attention without any reason? What will you do? This is the tale of 'Derailed'.

The novel by James Siegel is narrated interestingly in the form of a movie by Mikael Hafsrom with good performance by Clive Owen who plays Charles schine in the movie.

'Derailed' was then remade in Tamil and in Hindi. However, both the inspired version failed at the box office. This is not because all people had already seen the English version of the movie its just because there was a lot changed in the screenplay and script which made the movies to be a dud at the box office.

I saw the original version last and it was a gripping tale although I knew what is going to happen next. Highlights of the scripts was the director's touch in the way the connection between the first shot and the scene just before the climax which was put together in the movie was a surprise for me which was missing in both the inspired versions. Loved the way the director had intelligently narrated the story.

Would like to know why change the screenplay when the movie you are remaking a movie is itself an inspired one. Why not just stick to it? Hope you guys agree to it...

More about the movie on here:

What’s your say guys...TRAK!
